STEP 1
Start disconnection of the grill by turning the gas supply off.
STEP 2
Depending on the model of your grill, locate the propane cylinder’s tank valve at the bottom behind the grill’s doors.
STEP 3
Find the threaded pressure regulator that attaches to the tank and before deattaching it, close the tank valve assembly simply by twisting it to the right.
STEP 4
It is now the turn for the pressure regulator to be twisted. You might need a special tool to be able to unscrew the pressure regulator screw-nut.
STEP 5
When taking off the assembly of the tank valve, put aside the screw nut and the pipe. It will save you time and effort when placing the pressure regulator back on its spot.

Some models of the grill come with a propane barbecue cylinder. If you want to remove the propane barbecue cylinder safely you will have to loosen the restraining bolt that is holding it attached to the grill.

The replacement propane cylinders usually have the plastic safety cap on the tank valve assembly- simply take it off so you can perform the reconnecting of the pressure regulator process.

You always have to be careful when dealing with a propane cylinder. Transportation to the refilling location is no exception. Never leave the tank unaccompanied. When placing it into your car make sure it is upright. The area requires to be ventilated frequently.
If you are getting a replacement propane cylinder it is advisable to not remove the plastic safety cap it comes with while in transit.
